he work with stubble remains is an important element of modern energy-saving technologies used in crop production. Their preservation and even distribution give the following advantages: retention of melt and rain water, reduction of moisture loss from evaporation, improvement of organic soil composition, decrease of air and water erosion. Combine straw cutters (especially with wide reapers) have problems with optimal distribution of straw on the soil surface. This leads to uneven seedlings, uneven ripening and, as a result, to considerable degradation of grain harvesting quality. LIRA harrow can improve this.

Product specifications

LIRA spring-tooth harrow can easily cope with this. It is used for:
  • uniform distribution of stubble remains on the field;
  • early spring soil harrowing for destruction of superficial crust and prevention of weed growth;
  • weed destruction in the “white fiber” phase;
  • closing moisture by capillary flow interruption from the substrate;
  • levelling of tilled soil surface;
  • placement of seeds and mineral fertilizers scattered across the field;
  • broadcast tillage while handling of fallow lands and sowing preparation while fall-ploughing;
  • collection of straw and hay into swaths.
  • In recent years, there is a tendency to the increased weed infestation due to lower chemical protection caused by the desire to cut down expenses for chemicals. With the LIRA harrow it is possible not only to destroy the weeds with due quality, but also to close moisture and provide air access to the seeds without application of expensive chemicals.
